Jay started his martial arts career as a teen studying Close Combat techniques under Ed Parker, in Kempo Karate. In the last 13 years of his training he has achieved a Yon Dan 4th Degree Black Belt in Stephen K. Hayes To-Shin Do. He also holds the rank of Shodan in the East West Martial Arts Federation. Jay has trained with the best: Stephen & Rumiko Hayes, John Poliquin, Mark Russo, Mark Davis, Dennis Mahoney, and many other senior instructors of Ninjutsu & To Shin Do. Jay has seen wife and two children achieve their Black Belts.

Professionally, Jay has been in the Mortgage Broker business for the last 24 years. An expert on Combat Weapons & Firearms, Jay is an adventurist whose hobbies include rock climbing, skydiving and scuba diving, but first & most importantly he is a family man, husband and father.
